Save U.S. Horses From Slaughter ...

Please contact your U.S. congressman and ask him/her to cosponsor the SAFE Act which would stop the trucking of U.S. horses to Canada and Mexico for slaughter and would also ban horse slaughter in the U.S. For the first time, this legislation has a good chance to pass, as it has bi-partison support.

Important call for saving U.S. wolves ...

Very recently I received a request from the wonderful pro-wolf organization "Howling For Wolves" located in Minnesota.

They ask for everyone to PLEASE call or e-mail (or both) their state's senators and house members (senators first) regarding S.164 and H.R. 424.  These are both bad bills proposed by special interests to de-list the wolf from the protected list and to allow all methods of killing these beautiful and ecologically needed animals. I really wish some of our legislators had as much honesty and good judgement as have our fellow beings, the wolves.  Please look up your senator's contact info at www.usa.gov.  Please do it as soon as you can; the vote will come at any moment.  Thank you.
